Working in Nuremberg, Dürer's vast body of work includes engravings, his preferred technique in his later prints, altarpieces, portraits and self-portraits, watercolours and books. His work is very detailed, and accurately depicts items such as weapons and armour.

The Bantu Expansion – the migration of Bantu-speaking people across the African continent – is one of Ancient history’s largest migrations. Beginning around 1500BCE, members of the proto-Bantu language group migrated eastward and southward from West Africa, crossing vast swathes of the continent over hundreds of years. These migrants changed population demographics, spread farming across sub-equatorial Africa, introduced iron technology, and built powerful states that continue to influence the African continent today.

Encounter Bay was named by British Explorer Matthew Flinders after his encounter with French Explorer Nicolas Baudin, both of whom were charting the Australian coastline for their respective countries. It was a peaceful encounter, even though they both believed their countries were at war with each other at the time. In actuality a peace treaty had been agreed the previous month, and the war had ended.
