Map of the Middle East, drawn by C J Visscher, 1710. Shows the Middle East in early biblical times, from Cyprus to the land of Nod (Persia). It shows the location of the Garden of Eden (in today’s Iraq), the tower of Babel, Nineveh etc and even Jonah at sea about to be taken by the whale.

Vignettes show Adam and Eve in Paradise and after expulsion. Shows the region between the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf (including modern day regions of Israel, Palestine, Cyprus, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, and Iraq).
